Amanusa is an Aman resort located about 20 minutes from the airport. This makes it a great first stop on Bali because you can get quickly settled in and down to the business of relaxing after 20+ hours of travel.
It’s located on the southern tip of the island in an area filled with world class shopping and nightlife. It overlooks the Bali National Golf Club and for those who like that sort of thing, the resort has clubs available for your use, free of charge. Personally, I prefer the private BEACH club.
Every time I look at that I wish I could go back. Funny story – from the private beach bali it looked like we were on a secluded private beach. We decided to walk down to the water after a bit to take a look. What you don’t see is that there’s a pretty steep decline towards the beach and on the other side were lots of local families and tourists playing in the water. It was such a shock! It’s so quiet and peaceful up at the top, we had no idea the fun that was being had just steps away.
